The first message ever sent between computers occurred on October 29, 1969, as part of the ARPANET project. The message, intended to be “LOGIN,” was transmitted from UCLA to Stanford, but the system crashed after only sending “LO.” Despite the failure, this marked the beginning of networked communication and the foundation of the internet.
